For Professional Rescuers:  Our professional rescuer courses are designed for people who have a job-related duty to respond in an emergency. This includes nurses, law enforcement and EMS personnel, fire fighters, business and industry response teams, lifeguards, flight attendants, and others who must take action in emergency situations.

Fundamentals of Instructor Training. 4 hour course to made to introduce instructor canidates to the history, structure and activities of the American Red Cross. Introduce instructor canidates to the policies and procedures of the American Red Cross and ensure course quality and appropriate training to diverse populations.


Emergency Response
is a comprehensive course designed for training first responders. The course follows the 1995 US DOT First Responder National Standard Curriculum and meets ECC Guidelines.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer
is a 9-hour course that teaches a variety of skills including one- and two-rescuer CPR, use of resuscitation masks and bag-valve masks for ventilating victims, and how to respond in special rescue situations such as drowning.


Adult CPR/AED.
4 hour course that teaches skills necessary to provide care for breathing emergencies, perform CPR, and use of an Automated External Defibrilator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest.


Infant and Child CPR.
Train individuals to overcome any reluctance and act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in infants and children.


First Aid Basics.
4 hour course to train individuals to become familiar with how to recognize and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries.


Standard First Aid with AED.
6.5 hour course to teach skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness, including the use of an Automated External Defibrilator (AED).

Oxygen Administration. Laypersons and professional rescuers can learn when and how to use supplemental oxygen and breathing devices. Professional rescuers also learn advanced skills in airway management.

Preventing Disease Transmission. A two-hour training module for employers and employees who, while on the job, may be exposed to blood or other body fluids that could cause infection. Employers can offer this program as part of their compliance with OSHA regulations. Available in English and Spanish.


Babysitter's Training.
10 hour course to provide individuals, ages 11 to 16, with the skill necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. Course includes training in leadership and professionalism skills, basic care and first aid.  Click here to view brochure.
